Overview:
We are looking for a Head of Product to join our dynamic team in the financial services industry. Head of Product is responsible for overseeing the firm's Product Strategy, Product Development and Product Management. This role involves leading a team of product professionals, collaborating with other departments, and playing a key role in wide array of duties.

Responsibilities:Product Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and own the firm’s ETF product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, client needs, and market trends.
- Identify and assess new product opportunities through competitive analysis, market research, and stakeholder feedback.
- Build business cases for new products, including revenue potential, cost structure, and strategic fit.
Product Development Lifecycle
- Oversee the end-to-end development process from concept to launch, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution.
- Collaborate with investment management team and index providers to define fund mandates and index methodologies.
- Partner with legal, compliance, and regulatory teams to ensure all products meet applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with operations and technology to ensure operational readiness and robust creation/redemption processes.
Product Management & Optimization
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, including performance monitoring, profitability analysis, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct regular product reviews to identify enhancement opportunities, cost efficiencies, and potential rationalizations.
- Work with marketing and distribution teams to refresh positioning, marketing collateral, and sales strategies for existing products.
- Act as the product owner in cross-functional discussions, ensuring client feedback and market intelligence inform product decisions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to adapt product features and maintain compliance.
Market Positioning & Launch
- Lead go-to-market planning for new ETFs, including pricing, positioning, and distribution strategies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for ETF products in client meetings, media appearances, and industry events.
- Gather post-launch feedback to drive product enhancements and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematic or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. CFA, MBA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment product development and management, with significant ETF and index product expertise.
- Deep knowledge of ETF structures, index methodologies, capital markets, and the Canadian regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing teams, setting strategic priorities, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; capable of influencing and building relationships with senior executives, distribution partners, and regulators.
