Location: Toronto, ONOnsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 2 days onsite weekly, transitioning to 4 days onsite weekly in November (anchor days: Monday & Wednesday; some flexibility) Contract Details:

  • Pay Rate: C$55 - 70/hr
  • Shift/Hours: Standard business hours; fast-paced team of 20+

Job Summary: The Business Analyst V will lead requirements management for an Insider Threat Management Program at a top Canadian bank. This role requires advanced experience in business analysis, cybersecurity, and hybrid delivery methodologies, along with strong leadership and facilitation skills to manage requirements across large-scale, multi-year initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end requirements management process for an Insider Threat User Entity and Behavioral Analytics (UEBA) platform.
  • Serve as liaison between stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, data scientists, and delivery teams.
  • Define and manage project requirements, including timelines and costs.
  • Support RFI/RFP processes for vendor and tool selection.
  • Develop and report progress metrics in JIRA.
  • Indirectly lead and mentor business analysts across pods to standardize requirements management.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements to business solutions and outcomes.
  • Apply elicitation techniques through facilitation of requirements sessions.
  • Support Quality Assurance with test planning and strategy reviews.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and design issues affecting project outcomes.
  • Build a requirements strategy to integrate waterfall documentation with JIRA user stories.
  • Collaborate with technology teams on system requirements, testing, and deliverables.
  • Support change management and project readiness activities.
  • Mentor peers and junior BAs to strengthen practice capability.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience leading IT projects and initiatives as a BA.
  • 10+ years working in large-scale programs ($100M+).
  • 2+ years in cybersecurity or information security.
  • CBAP or IIBA certification (preferred asset).
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Insider risk or threat management projects.
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM) exposure.
  • Experience with UEBA platforms.
  • Prior experience at banking or other large banks.

Required Skills:

  • Requirements elicitation and management (10+ years)
  • SDLC, RMLC, BPM, BAT methodologies (10+ years)
  • Cybersecurity and insider threat domains (2+ years)
  • Advanced facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Jira and Agile reporting
  • Vendor selection and RFP management
  • Stakeholder impact and influence skills

Additional Skills:

  • Strong judgment in risk escalation
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives
  • Coaching and mentoring of BAs
