Job Description Fleetway is seeking a Program Manager to lead the schedule, scope, and budget of the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Program. This role is central to supporting Canada’s naval fleet by guiding engineering and technical teams and ensuring program activities are delivered with precision, quality, and strong fiscal management. The Program Manager, RCD will work closely with the Technical Delivery Leads to make sure scope and quality are managed throughout the program. You will be accountable for the overall direction and performance of the engineering and technical delivery teams within the AOPS project tasks for which Fleetway is responsible. You will provide direction and leadership to delivery teams to promote customer service excellence and best in class solutions. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, the Program Manager, RCD monitors and reports progress of the RCD Program with respect to schedules and budgets and will work closely with the Cost Account Managers on the client side. The Program Manager, RCD coordinates all project management to maintain acceptable project cost & schedule performance. The Program Manager, RCD works with all Fleetway stakeholders to ensure that the delivery team is fully enabled to meet the current and upcoming needs of Program requirements. - Provide overall leadership and accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and performance of the RCD Program.
- Lead and direct engineering and technical delivery teams to achieve contractual, quality, and client requirements.
- Partner with Technical Delivery and Portfolio leadership to manage program direction, priorities, and risk.
- Oversee execution of large, complex engineering programs, ensuring delivery on time and within approved budgets.
- Monitor and report program performance, including schedule, cost, and Earned Value metrics, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Integrate and coordinate multiple internal teams and subcontractors to optimize delivery outcomes.
- Represent the program with customers and senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Ensure program governance, controls, and management processes are followed and continuously improved.
QualificationsEducation
- Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or related field
Experience
- 5-8+ years of progressive responsibility in Project or Program Management, ideally within technical or engineering environments
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary programs
- PMP Certification considered an asset
