The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring a Project Engineer on a permanent basis on our Technical Services team. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Regina, SK, with the possibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the execution of assigned capital projects from initiation through to completion, following a gated project management process that includes pre-FEED, scope definition, stakeholder alignment, detailed engineering design, and construction.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment and knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry codes, and technical standards to support project planning, decision-making, and risk management throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and external contractors to develop work packages, monitor construction progress, and ensure safe, efficient project delivery that meets scope, budget, and schedule commitments.
  • Support the management and execution of ongoing programs such as the Tank Integrity Program, involving inspection, repair, and return-to-service of critical tank assets, with responsibilities in budget oversight, contractor coordination, and progress tracking
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and master schedules; prepare Requests for Expenditure (RFEs) and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in project engineering and:

  • Have 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, ideally in mechanical or industrial systems (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • Are a registered P.Eng or EIT with APEGS.
  • You are skilled in decision-making, problem-solving, customer service, and communication.
