
Membership Engagement Coordinator

Position Summary
Reporting to the Events & Engagement lead, this role will be responsible for providing support to the member engagement team by engaging members and prospective members through event coordination, member onboarding and internal/external sales and program offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote public awareness of ECA programs, services, and initiatives
- Engage new members through the onboarding process by proactively addressing common issues before they occur, ensuring understanding of all ECA services, and supporting a smooth transition into membership
- Conduct new member orientations and provide ongoing support as needed
- Assist the Engagement Lead with ECA events, including budgeting, seeking sponsorship, venue sourcing and booking, catering, event set-up/tear down etc.
- Collaborate with other areas of the organization to develop new sales offerings for each event
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with members to strengthen engagement and retention
- Cultivate, solicit and attract a network of relationships which currently, or in the future may become ECA members through participating in networking events, workshops etc.
- Contact cancelled members with an effort to win them back
- Coordinate member recognition programs and initiatives to celebrate member achievements or milestones
- Generates ideas on improving internal programs and sales offerings in support of organizational goals
- Manage the membership CRM system to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and up-to-date member information
- Prepare regular reports on membership statistics, retention rates, and engagement activities
- Assist with planning and executing internal staff engagement and “fun” events
- Cover at Front Desk when required
Direct Reports
The Membership Engagement Coordinator is a motivated member of the Membership team working together in the most efficient manner. The position has no direct reports.
Tools & Systems
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and uses software including the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Growth Zone.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in event management, budgeting, or project management
- 2+ years of customer service or sales experience
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration or Event Management would be considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; able to build relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization both internally and externally
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Highly organized individual with an exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Positive energetic personality; a natural multi-tasker
