POSITION SUMMARY
Are you a high-energy sales professional who thrives on building relationships and closing new business? As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in identifying and developing new business opportunities for EcomPack.
This role is ideal for a self-starter with a strong sales mindset, who enjoys working in the field, meeting with potential clients, and driving growth in a competitive B2B environment. You will work with an organization that genuinely believes that its people are integral to its success and fosters a positive and supportive working culture.
This is a field-based role covering the Toronto East region. Reps are expected to spend the majority of their time in the field meeting clients to build new sales opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIESProspecting & Lead Generation
- Research and identify new business opportunities through networking, prospect list building, and responding to RFPs.
- Schedule and conduct discovery calls and in-person meetings.
Initial Outreach & Relationship Building
- Introduce EcomPack’s value proposition to potential customers.
- Understand client needs, pain points, and purchasing process.
- Engage new customers through consultative conversations that build trust and drive long-term partnerships.
Sales Growth & Customer Solutions
- Increase sales volume for new customers by identifying opportunities and introducing EcomPack’s products and solutions.
- Consistently exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with customer service and internal teams to process new orders.
- Represent EcomPack with confidence and professionalism.
Quoting & Proposal Development
- Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for new customers.
- Collaborate with internal quoting team to build customer specific quotes.
- Present proposals to clients and support through to close.
CRM, Reporting & Sales Operations
- Update the CRM database with all customer interaction details throughout the sales cycle.
- Utilize routing software to manage daily in-person visits.
- Provide regular sales reports and pipeline updates.
- Ensure follow-ups are scheduled and tracked to keep the pipeline active.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary education in Business Admin, Sales or Marketing
- 2+ years B2B business development experience
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using CRM software
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and own vehicle with a clean abstract
- Must be based within close proximity to our Scarborough office
- Bonus: industry experience in packaging, logistics, or distribution

COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
- OTE in the first year is $70,000 – $90,000
