EBC Inc. is seeking Field Engineer for Ladore seismic upgrade project located in Campbell River, BC. The candidate will report directly to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that construction plans meet the guidelines and specifications outlined in the contract. As a Field Engineer at EBC you will:
- Read technical and administrative project specifications.
- Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards.
- Inform Construction Manager of project development and discuss methods planned and the Superintendent.
- Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Superintendent and the Construction Manager.
- Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting.
- Prepare daily reports as related to the crew, progress, and issues.
- Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI’s, NCR, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts.
- Organize and participate in various meetings.
- Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals, and client.
- Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to the project.
- The candidate must be willing and able to travel as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction project coordination;
- Master of MS Office and MS Project software;
- Strong management, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills;
- Shows initiative and leadership;
- Team Player;
- Must be able to work onsite daily;
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Federal Security Clearance.
