Description Dye & Durham are on the hunt for a part-time Process Server to help our clients find individuals involved in court cases and serve them with required legal documents (such as notices of civil claim, subpoenas, court orders for Supreme/Provincial/Federal court, etc). If you are wanting to step into a role where you are not sitting at a desk all day, this role could be for you! Key Responsibilities
- Serve legal documents to individuals, businesses, and legal representatives as required by court rules and legislation
- Conduct in-person delivery of documents within assigned jurisdiction(s), ensuring personal service when mandated
- Complete and submit accurate affidavits of service or attempted service in a timely manner
- Communicate service attempts and outcomes to Service Coordinators and/or clients
- Investigate and locate individuals for service using available information and resources
- Strategically plan driving routes and service attempts to ensure efficiency and success
- Follow all legal and procedural guidelines to ensure validity of service
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of service attempts and completed deliveries
- Represent the company professionally and respectfully when dealing with clients, defendants, and the public
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Comfortable using mobile technology and digital tools.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Professional, discreet, and customer-focused approach.
