The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the preparation of consolidated site reporting packages and variance analysis, consolidated annual budget and forecasts, consolidated long-range forecast, and management and senior leadership reporting packages to support decision-making and business outcomes. Additionally, the candidate will prepare global assumptions, bridging analysis, non-GAAP measures, and quarterly BSC and credit metrics.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary
- Prepares budget, forecast, and analysis for DPM Inc. Corporate/Group functions and minor entities
- Prepares the monthly group management reporting & consolidation and consolidated flash reports, including G&A analysis and provide commentary/analysis on significant items
- Prepares Site and Consolidated Variance Analysis - Actual vs. Budget vs. Forecast
- Prepares budget and forecast (annual budget, capital budget, rolling forecast.
- Prepares monthly global assumptions
- Prepares bridging analysis and presentation deck preparation
- Reviews for Corporate/Group revenue/COS/cash bridging analysis and non-GAAP measure variance analysis (e.g., mine cash cost analysis, capital expenditure, free cash flow, average realized prices reconciliation, and revenue and cost of sales bridges) for accuracy and add commentary for analysis
- Reviews quarterly credit metrics and debt covenants analysis
- Reviews the actuals for Metals and foreign exchange rates; reviews the blended exchange rate calculation
- Updates quarterly board deck and presentation
- Prepares CFO package on monthly and quarterly basis
- Collaborates with Corporate/Group Functions to understand business needs and requirements and translate priorities into desired reporting and analysis
- Reviews quarterly BSC Corporate/Group financial measures calculation and site financial measures review
- Prepares monthly G&A analysis, assist corporate/group functions in their budget and forecast processes
Secondary
- Supports the Controllership function with MD&A analysis and reporting (e.g., quarterly results news releases) and support Investor Relations with various investor presentations
- Prepares and conducts additional analysis and modelling as required
- Supports ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed to support management decisions
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of technical accounting methodologies and processes
- Knowledge of accounting applications and software is an asset but not mandatory
- Fluency in digital tools and software with strong understanding of data management & analytics
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Bachelor’s degree/certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related fields
- 3+ years of related Finance experience either in industry, preferably in FP&A roles, or at a public accounting firm
- Mining industry experience is preferred but not mandatory
- CPA or relevant designation
