Regional Sales Manager – Eastern CanadaOverview

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Eastern Canada to oversee commercial activities across Quebec and Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland). Reporting to the Commercial Director, Canada, this position will lead sales initiatives, manage regional teams, and support representatives to achieve growth targets and operational excellence.

This individual will play a strategic role in expanding our client’s footprint in commercial HVAC and building performance solutions, focusing on the integration of smart technologies, IoT systems, data-driven optimization, and energy efficiency. The successful candidate will foster strong relationships within a diverse ecosystem of end-users, contractors, consultants, and OEM partners to drive revenue and brand presence.

This position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic regional sales operation in a rapidly evolving industry that integrates digital transformation and performance-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial instincts with technical expertise to help shape the future of sustainable, data-driven building management.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor the regional sales team, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies, forecasts, and budgets that align with national goals.
  • Use CRM data to track performance, coach sales staff, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design incentive programs and recognition initiatives that inspire sales performance and team engagement.

Business Development

  • Expand business opportunities across the commercial HVAC, plumbing, and building services markets.
  • Strengthen partnerships with mechanical contractors, controls specialists, consulting engineers, and building owners.
  • Drive adoption of building lifecycle performance management solutions through effective customer engagement.
  • Identify and cultivate new channels to increase market reach, project acquisition, and customer retention.
  • Collaborate with the National Solutions Sales Manager to meet service, optimization, and energy upgrade targets.

Customer & Market Focus

  • Maintain deep understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in HVAC and smart building solutions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and regional events to strengthen industry presence.
  • Provide support for complex customer issues, ensuring compliance with local building codes and performance standards.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to guide service enhancements and strengthen market share.

Operational Collaboration

  • Work closely with service, marketing, and quality teams to reduce warranty costs and ensure superior service outcomes.
  • Provide insight to marketing and product teams to guide future product development and digital initiatives.
  • Support start-up coordination between service departments and field partners.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (oral and written) is required.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical sales or service, preferably within the HVAC or building systems sector.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing sales teams or regional operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC technologies, IoT platforms, and data analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to build customer trust and sustain long-term business relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Track record of meeting or surpassing sales objectives.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% across assigned regions.
