Summary of the role: 

We are seeking an Investor Relations and Communications Associate to join our team in Montreal. Working within the Office of the CEO, you will play a key role in investor relations, communications, marketing/PR, and ESG initiatives at Diagram. 

This is a high-visibility role with exposure to all areas of our organization. You will collaborate closely with leadership, investors, founders, and partners, gaining hands-on experience in the startup and venture capital space while contributing directly to the growth and impact of our platform.

What you’ll do: 

Investor Relations 

• Serve as the primary contact for investor inquiries and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and investment teams on investor reporting deliverables and communications.
• Support fundraising processes for future Diagram funds, including preparation of fundraising materials, due diligence responses, and related documentation.
• Maintain CRM systems and distribution lists for reporting, communications, and events.
• Support in organizing investor events, including our Annual General Meeting and LP engagement activities.

Communications

• Lead and enhance Diagram’s marketing, PR, and brand-building initiatives, including our LinkedIn presence, website management, and ad-hoc events.
• Manage all internal and external communications across Diagram, our Funds, and Portfolio.

ESG and Strategic Initiatives

• Work closely with Sagard’s Sustainability team to lead Diagram’s ESG efforts and responsible investing commitments.
• Drive CEO-sponsored strategic projects and help refine internal operations, methodologies, and best practices.

Our ideal candidate:

• 1–3 years of experience in Investor Relations, Marketing, Consulting, or a related field (experience in venture capital or private equity is an asset).
• Able to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, concise insights relevant to our investor base. 
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong work ethic.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building trusted relationships.
• Curious, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• A self-starter who embraces ambiguity and enjoys independent problem-solving.
• Excited to leverage technology and AI creatively to optimize productivity and workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
• The role is based in Montreal.
