Instructional Designer- 6 month contract

• Perform needs analyses to ensure learning programs support business objectives
• Partner with leaders and SMEs to determine content requirements and delivery methods
• Identify the optimal content design and delivery approach to achieve learning objectives
• Design and develop self-paced and instructor-led training programs using instructional design best practices and e-learning creation tools (e.g., rapid authoring tools)
• Create training material, activities, and assessments that are aligned to business goals
• Validate and evaluate various training and development programs

What do you bring to this role?

• University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline is considered an asset (e.g., Adult Education, Instructional Design, or Technical Writing / Communications)
• Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in training design and development
• Experience designing and developing both e-learning and instructor-led training solutions
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
• Proficiency in a variety of design and e-learning software packages (i.e. Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members and internal customers
• Ability to perform well in a busy environment and remain calm under pressure
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and an openness to feedback
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management, organization, and project management skills
• Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset

Salary range is $58,100 - $106,900 Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
