Support Technician (Onsite Winnipeg, MB)

About the Role:

Data On The Spot (DOTS) is seeking a reliable and tech-savvy Support Technician to assist with the execution of live events in Winnipeg, MB. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates well under pressure, and is comfortable supporting both technology and people in real-time.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support during live events (e.g., AGMs, conferences, voting sessions)
• Assist in setup and teardown of equipment (laptops, and voting devices)
• Troubleshoot common tech issues and provide attendee support
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and participants
• Follow detailed instructions and work closely with our lead technician

Requirements:

• Must be located in Winnipeg, MB
• Prior experience working in events, AV tech, or customer support is an asset
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable using laptops, basic software, and internet-based tools
• Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Training and equipment will be provided

This is a contract-based position with hours based on event schedules. Ideal for students, freelancers, or professionals looking for flexible supplemental work.

Compensation:

• $25/hour
• Travel expenses covered (within Winnipeg region as required)
