What We Need Corpay is currently looking to hire a Business Development Associate. This position falls under our Cross Border line of business and is located in Saskatoon, Canada. In this role you’ll collaborate with a high-performing and seasoned sales team to foster new business opportunities in North America within the foreign exchange arena, delivering industry leading currency risk management and global payment solutions to Small-medium sized businesses across the continent. You will report directly to Director of Business Development and regularly collaborate with account managers and other sales team members to deliver currency risk management and global payment solutions. How We Work As a Business Development Associate, you will be expected to working our Saskatoon office. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in the Saskatoon office

Role Responsibilities

  • Positioning your conversations towards business owners, C-suite executives, and finance leaders, where you'll articulate customized solutions for their currency risk management and global payment needs.
  • You’ll be tasked with a high volume of daily outreach to potential customers, engaging in cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging to either qualify and book meetings with new leads, or disqualify them as needed.
  • Your conversations will be targeted at business owners, C-suite executives, and finance leaders, where you’ll articulate customized solutions for their currency risk management and global payment requirements.
  • You’ll be measured on the number of booked 1st appointments and sufficient 1st appointments amongst other KPI’s.
  • Collaborating with a high-performing and seasoned sales team to foster new business opportunities in North America within the foreign exchange arena.
  • Responsible for delivering industry leading currency risk management and global payment solutions to Small-medium sized businesses across the continent.
  • Executing daily outreach to potential businesses, engaging in cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging to either qualify and book meetings with new leads, or disqualify them as needed.
  • Creating new business opportunities for the firm while simultaneously advancing your sales skills and career within the dynamic field of foreign exchange and financial services.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 0-4 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or similar position.
  • Post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
  • Highly self-motivated and competitive with a strong drive to generate new business opportunities.
  • Intuitive and Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit in your approach to finding new business opportunities.
  • Collaborative - You love working with people and are skilled at facilitating strong client and internal relationships.
  • Coachable - You’re able to understand, incorporate, and implement feedback to your own sales process quickly.
  • Curious, persuasive, have excellent negotiation skills, extremely driven and crave success.
  • Eager to dive into the world of finance and global markets. A strong interest in learning the field is key, and given the region, experience or background in agriculture would be an asset.
  • Inspired by the work you do, the goals you achieve and the opportunities you create.
  • Open to picking up the phone / aren’t afraid of rejection.
  • A strong willingness to succeed with the desire to further your career in sales.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and the passion for achieving results.
  • Excellent time management, written, verbal and prospect communication skills.
  • A positive mindset.

The estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is CAD $55,000 to $62,500.
