Title: Shop Labourer Location: 55 Furniture Park (Door 39) Winnipeg, MB R2G 1B9 Work Hours: Evening shift: 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm At Cornerstone Kitchens and Closets, our people make the difference. Job Overview Reporting to the Vice-President as the Shop Labourer you are responsible for performing general labour activities, including maintenance, cleanliness and organization of the shop, and packing cabinets for shipping, and moving materials through shop. Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
- Maintaining a clean worksite, organize and help to manage shop inventory.
- Assisting in packing cabinets to prepare for shipping.
- Moving materials between departments.
- Assisting in departments where extra help is required and providing support for other projects or duties as assigned.
- Assisting shop supervisor in maintaining an on-time job schedule.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with Qualico/Cornerstone’s Safety Program and relevant safety regulations. Reporting any violations and incidents or near-miss incidents to management immediately.

Essential Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the cabinet or construction industry is preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s licence.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 to 60 lbs.
- Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.

Work Conditions You primarily work in a manufacturing shop. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
