construction environments? CoreAqua is looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to support projects across Toronto. This is your opportunity to play a key role in strengthening a culture of safety while working closely with field teams and leadership.

Company Overview

COREAQUA is a specialized group of companies focused on watermain infrastructure rehabilitation and water transfer solutions. This Canadian-based water infrastructure organization operates across Canada and the United States with approximately 400 employees. The company specializes in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, delivering essential services primarily to public-sector clients, alongside select private-sector projects.

Recently acquired by a private equity firm, the organization is entering a period of accelerated growth and transformation. It is scaling rapidly, with plans to expand its workforce from 400 to approximately 2,000 employees over the next 12–24 months.

The company currently manages a large portfolio of contracts across North America, reflecting a strong and growing presence in the sector. Its strategic focus is on expanding U.S. operations, increasing bid volume, and enhancing its ability to deliver at scale.

As part of this growth phase, the organization is also advancing its governance, compliance, and operational maturity to support a larger, more complex business footprint while maintaining high standards in project execution and regulatory alignment.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with site teams to identify hazards and implement practical, real-time

safety solutions

  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective

actions

  • Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and audits across construction projects
  • Support and lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC)
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety training, and field coaching
  • Ensure compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and

related regulations

  • Coordinate with relevant aspects of corporate environmental register as assigned
  • Use safety data and feedback to drive continuous improvement and proactive risk

mitigation

  • Foster a team-based, solutions-oriented safety culture

KPIs & Performance Metrics

  • Reduction in LTIR and TRIF (Total Recordable Injury Frequency)
  • Leading indicator performance (inspections, observations, near-miss reporting)
  • Timely closure of corrective actions
  • JHSC effectiveness and participation rates
  • Safety training completion and competency levels
  • Audit scores and compliance rates
  • Return-to-work program efficiency

What you bring

  • 3–5 years of construction safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and regulations

Health, Safety& Environment Coordinator – CoreAqua (Toronto ON)

  • Proven ability to analyze problems and implement practical solutions on-site
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with field teams, supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Ability to build trust and influence a positive safety culture

Nice to have

  • Minimum CHST designation (or in progress)
  • Experience in civil, infrastructure, or industrial construction
  • Training and presentation skills
  • Driver’s license
