CoreAqua group — is a rapidly expanding, project-based organization backed by private equity and driven by operational excellence is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Lead, to play a critical role in leading our AP automation process efficiency, enhancing performance visibility, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a team of 5 AP professionals, providing coaching, support, and performance development.
- Own and modernize the full-cycle AP process, driving automation and reducing manual/paper-based workflows.
- Standardize and streamline AP practices across multiple sites in Canada and the US.
- Ensure accurate, timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain KPIs for AP performance; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support integration of AP functions during M&A activity, absorbing new workloads with minimal increase in headcount.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Operations to enhance vendor relationships and payment processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax laws (e.g., GST/HST, US sales tax), and audit requirements.
- Lead or participate in system upgrades or ERP/AP automation implementations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of AP experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven success in building or scaling an AP department across multiple locations.
- Deep understanding of AP automation tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, especially during integrations or M&A.
- Strong systems knowledge (e.g., ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, MS Dynamics, etc.).
- Experience with Canadian and US accounts payable processes and compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
