Head of Design

ConstructionClock is the first Automatic Time Tracking app that is transforming how people manage time & attendance for themselves and their crews. Our app clocks trades people in and out of job sites using geo-locations — no more manual check-ins.

We are a fast-growing startup with a clear mission: To build the best tools that automate the most valuable resource on every job site — TIME.

We’re looking for a Head of Design to define and lead our design vision from the ground up. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, can think strategically, and loves building great products with real impact.

You’ll own everything design—from product and UX to brand foundations—and help shape how our company looks, feels, and works as we scale.

What You'll Bring:

• Define and Own the company-wide design vision and strategy
• Lead end-to-end product design (UX, UI, interaction design)
• Establish and evolve our design system 
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership to shape the roadmap
• Translate complex problems into elegant, intuitive experiences
• Contribute to brand identity and visual language as needed
• Build, mentor, and eventually scale the design team

Must Have Qualities:

• 7+ years of experience in design, with some leadership experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, design depth, and visual excellence
• Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for users, quality, and thoughtful design decisions

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with design systems at scale
• Background in branding or marketing design
• Experience working closely with engineers on complex products
