Forklift Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks.
• Tests forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly
• Install, remove and/or repair attachments and accessories such as clamps, side shifters, push/pulls, lights and audible devices as required.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair batteries and chargers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a forklift technician or auto mechanic
• Completion of forklift truck mechanics training course an asset.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift trucks.
• Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift trucks.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
