Position Description This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office (155 Wellington Street West, Toronto) at a minimum 4 days per week subject to change at any time. We are seeking an experienced and collaborative End-to-End (E2E) Test Lead to drive quality assurance across complex, multi-system programs. In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing efforts across integrated applications, ensuring high-quality, reliable solutions are delivered on time. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to plan, execute, and oversee testing strategies in a dynamic environment. Your future duties and responsibilities E2E Test Planning & Strategy
- Develop comprehensive end-to-end test strategies, plans, scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and user stories
- Ensure coverage across upstream and downstream systems, integrations, and dependencies
- Identify risks early and define mitigation strategies
Test Execution & Defect Management
- Execute E2E test cases and validate system integrations across platforms
- Document results, identify defects, and ensure accurate tracking
- Lead defect triage sessions with teams and stakeholders to prioritize and resolve issues
Program Oversight & Reporting
- Provide oversight for E2E testing across multiple teams and applications
- Publish daily and weekly status reports highlighting progress, risks, and recommendations
- Communicate testing outcomes clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, QA teams, and business partners
- Coordinate testing efforts across multiple application teams and environments
- Facilitate alignment between technical and business teams
Tools & Test Management
- Use tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and qTest for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability throughout the testing lifecycle
Performance & Integration Testing
- Collaborate with Performance Engineering teams to plan and execute E2E performance testing cycles
- Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements
Day-to-Day Activities
- Leading daily E2E test execution and monitoring progress across teams
- Reviewing requirements and translating them into detailed test scenarios
- Coordinating with developers and QA teams to troubleshoot issues
- Running and facilitating defect triage meetings
- Updating dashboards, reports, and documentation in test management tools
- Identifying risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks in real time
- Supporting integration validation across multiple systems and environments
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading E2E or integration testing for large, complex programs
- Minimum 7 years of experience in QA/testing environments, including automation and technical testing
- Demonstrated experience working on multi-system integrations with complex dependencies
- Strong experience developing and executing E2E and integration testing strategies
- Familiarity with cloud, distributed systems, APIs/services, and mainframe environments
- Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including tools such as:
- Jenkins
- GitHub Actions
- UrbanCode Deploy (UCD)
- Experience working with databases such as:
- MongoDB, DB2, Oracle, SQL, IMS
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with:
- JIRA (defect tracking)
- Confluence (documentation)
- qTest (test management)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and large-scale program delivery
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design thinking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
- Proactive mindset with focus on risk identification and mitigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large enterprise or financial services environments
- Exposure to performance testing practices
- Familiarity with complex test data management strategies
- Experience working in highly integrated, multi-application ecosystems
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000–$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy. !
