Business Intelligence / Data Consultant We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to join our data team, capable of bridging multiple roles across data engineering, data architecture, business requirements gathering, and Power BI development. The consultant will handle the more accessible aspects of data engineering while contributing to data architecture design and supporting business users in defining analytical needs. We are looking for a senior, hands-on candidate with extensive experience across diverse data environments—someone who has encountered a wide range of challenges and can independently manage deliverables from start to finish. Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and translate business requirements into scalable data and reporting solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain data models, data pipelines, and reporting architecture using the CGI technology stack.
• Develop and publish interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to support business units.
• Contribute to the design of the data architecture and ensure alignment with best practices for governance and quality.
• Perform data transformations and modeling using DBT and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency between business expectations and data deliverables.
• Support the team with Azure DevOps for source control, task tracking, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in quality assurance, testing, and deployment of analytical solutions.
• Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer to promote autonomy within business teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders by proposing improvements in data processes and decision support tools.

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Business Intelligence, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or business intelligence roles.
• Proven ability to manage complete project deliverables independently.
• Technical expertise in:
• Snowflake (data warehousing)
• DBT (data transformation and modeling)
• Power BI (dashboard development and data visualization)
• Azure DevOps (version control and delivery management)
• Knowledge of SAP is a strong asset.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate across technical and business domains with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual (English/French).
