Accounting Technician

Role Description & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable;
• Perform tax reports (GST / QST) and D.A.S. remittances;
• Assist in the year-end process;
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliation;
• Make accounting entries;
• Perform other related tasks.

Qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) or equivalent;
• Bilingual (spoken and written) an asset;
• 1 year or more of experience in the field;
• Ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing environment;
• Autonomous, sense of initiative and management of priorities;
• Knowledge of the Quickbook Office system and/or Quickbook online an asset;
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with Canadian accounting regulations and standards
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
