In addition to expanding and increasing the number of our corporate locations, we have become a viable branding and fuel supply alternative for independent fuel site owner/dealers. With our continued growth, the position of Marketing Manager is critical for the ongoing success and growth of brand and retail operations.

The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the marketing strategy and execution across four provinces. This position is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for elevating brand visibility and ensuring all marketing initiatives align with the overall business and retail strategy. In this role, you will oversee two direct marketing resources and be responsible for developing and leading the marketing team.

Working out of our Calgary office, you will develop and implement a marketing strategy to increase Centex’s overall brand awareness and recognition by consumers and potential dealers and oversee retail marketing to increase gas station visibility and store visits.

·     Develop and implement a strategy to increase Centex’s brand recognition and awareness by consumers and dealers. Oversee the implementation of the advertisement plans, campaigns, and website maintenance and upgrades.

·     Oversee strategic development, execution and management of all consumer-facing marketing and advertising plans to drive traffic to stores. These may include traditional, loyalty marketing, sponsorships, events, in-store programs, grand openings, reward programs, as well as social media platforms and search engine optimization (SEO).

·     Developed processes, tools and standards to effectively manage all in-store marketing and branding initiatives, ensuring consistency across the chain for both promotional and non-promotional programs.

·     Effectively collaborate with all key stakeholders and cross-functional team members, such as Retail, Construction and IT.

·     Lead the development of key forecasting and analytical tools to manage the effectiveness of our retail programs.

·     Foster a positive and inspiring work environment to ensure that direct reports are fully engaged and clear about objectives.

·     Analyze marketing programs and campaigns performance data to identify trends, measure success against KPIs, and provide actionable insights for improvement. 

·     Maintain brand consistency across all collateral materials, templates, and channels.

·     Manage the design of ad campaigns, website, social media channels, mobile app emails, print, brochures and posters.

·     Manage and optimize the marketing budget to ensure efficient allocation and maximize ROI. 

Qualifications: 

·     A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field.

·     At least 3 years of experience as a Marketing Manager.

·     5+ years of experience in brand and product marketing management, with a strong track record in retail industries.

·     Project marketing experience.

·     Experience in brand development.

·     Strong understanding of marketing channels, including digital marketing and advertising.

·     Proficiency in SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and online advertising platforms like Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

·     Collaborative, independent thinker, strategic.

·     Strong supervisory skills.
