Job Summary This position is responsible for providing daily support for various human resource functions such as benefits administration, payroll, and recruitment. What You Will Do

  • Processes, verifies, and maintains personnel related documentation including staffing, recruitment, training, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Acts as a resource to local human resources representatives regarding company policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Maintains employee eligibility data for company benefits program, this includes making updates to benefit carrier system and pay system (ADP).
  • Updates personnel data in internal systems (ADP, Synapse, etc.)
  • Assists local human resources with general questions regarding benefit eligibility including trouble shooting.
  • Compiles and prepare reports as needed.
  • Maintains personnel files.
  • Maintains company organizational charts and contact lists.
  • Assists with the administration of company talent management and performance management systems.
  • Supports the recruitment function as needed, including setting up phone screens, posting jobs, employment/background checks, coordinating travel arrangements, and assisting with the on-boarding process.
  • Responsible for completing projects as assigned.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Two years of prior experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
  • Manufacturing or Construction industry preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully work as a team and contribute to an overall outcome.

Equipment Used

  • Standard office equipment.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment.
  • In office
  • Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm with additional hours as needed.

Travel Requirement

  • No travel is required for this position.
