The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a full-time, contract (1 year) Research Analyst. Reporting to the Principal Investigator and the Research Coordinator, the Research Analyst will work with Dr. Daisy Singla (Senior Scientist at CAMH) on a project that focuses on building the first open-access mental health training platform that combines AI-powered virtual patients, case-based learning, and feedback tools into a single training environment. The goal of the project is to democratize high-quality mental health training and expand the global mental health workforce. This is a multi-site study with partners in the United States and India. Key Accountabilities The Research Analyst will collaborate with the research team and investigators in the coordination of the project. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Oversee and organize audio transcription planning and implementation
- Remove personal health information (PHI) from audio transcripts
- Assist the Research Coordinator with the organization of all training materials and intervention protocols
- Assist the Research Coordinator with the preparation of research ethics submissions, reports and presentations
- Provide administrative support for all elements of the project
- Prepare materials and organize large meetings and perform other general project-related duties as needed

This position is located within the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) located at 60 White Squirrel Way, Queen Street Site. Job Requirements The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in psychology, health systems, or a relevant discipline with 1 year of relevant research experience.
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Must have a strong ability to exercise sound judgment, independence and initiative
- Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and be comfortable engaging and exchanging information with a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience working with transcriptions of audio files considered an asset
The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Please Note: This full-time, contract (1 year) position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.
