What Will You Do The Marketing and Partnerships Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of advertising and sponsorship initiatives at YYC. This includes managing external partner contracts, leading advertising installations, and ensuring alignment with brand standards and strategic goals. The role involves budget management, revenue forecasting, and identifying new revenue opportunities. The Marketing and Partnerships Manager will also coordinate marketing deliverables, analyze program performance, and lead collaborative efforts with internal teams and external partners. A key focus is on data-driven decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of commercial marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and profitability within the airport environment. This team will help shape the future of our commercial portfolio by executing and growing advertising and sponsorship initiatives at Calgary Airports. What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead tours for commercial advertisers and/or potential sponsors as required.
- Negotiate and complete advertising and sponsorship renewals and amending agreements, while coordinating with various cross-functional stakeholders, including legal, operation, finance, IT, communication and others.
- Develop and prepare presentations to facilitate business development and nurturing of commercial sponsorship prospects.
- Support assigned partners, as needs require and conduct regular partner business reviews, council and other industry related meetings, updates, and calls
- Lead and facilitate regular information-sharing meetings and presentations with key Advertising and Sponsorship Partners and explore opportunities for collaboration.
- Drive and manage collaborative marketing efforts between YYC, and its agents of Advertising and Sponsorship agents to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Assess and analyze advertising and sponsorship trends to ensure profitability to determine maximum revenue threshold and sustainability in the airport market.
- Analyze and report on the performance of advertising and sponsorship programs, making data-driven recommendations for improvement and optimization.
- Manage revenue management system maintenance for assigned partner list, ensuring data integrity, accurate billings and maintaining a strong CRM with partners.
- Spearhead efforts related to gathering key Insights (from Guests, Partners, Airlines, others) including coordination of focus groups, surveys, in-depth interviews and other forms of data/insight capture.
- Work with analytics, manage and coordinate competitive assessments ongoing in parking.
- Consistent collaboration with YYC Corporate Communications counterparts to ensure that strategies and deliverables align.
- Schedule and manage graphic and design deliverables, helping to ensure that timelines are met, YYC brand standards are understood and adhered to and that all work fits with our overarching strategic direction.
- Facilitate requests and delivery of YYC commercial marketing services deliverables.
- Develop new ideas and plans to utilize vacant space within the Air Terminal Building to increase revenue opportunities through marketing initiatives.
What Do You Need To Bring
- The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional development
- 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in developing marketing revenue strategies, business development, and aligning marketing efforts with broader business goals
- Proven experience managing sizeable revenue streams, ideally within a marketing or partnerships capacity
- Demonstrated ability to manage advertising, sponsorship, and overall revenue portfolios, including budgeting, forecasting, and maximizing revenue opportunities
- Strong analytical skills with experience in performance reporting to support revenue optimization
- Extensive experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts and agreements with external partners
- Practical experience building and maintaining external partner and vendor relationships to support marketing initiatives
- Proven ability to work effectively across departments, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong persuading and negotiating abilities
- Strong knowledge of the advertising and sponsorship industry, with business development experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, including reviewing, negotiating, and following up on key terms and conditions
