French Speaking Translator (Canada/Quebec)

Job Description The Contract Translator shall provide professional linguistic review, editing, and quality assurance of translations generated by AI-powered systems, including but not limited to machine translation (MT) engines and large language models (LLMs). The Contractors agree to use any translation review platforms, software, or workflows provided by Dayforce, including Smartling TMS (Translation Management Software). Key Activities and Deliverables

• AI Post-Editing (PEMT): Reviewing and correcting AI/MT/LLM translations to ensure accuracy, completeness, fluency, and cultural appropriateness.
• Localization Review: Ensuring AI-assisted translations are properly adapted for the target culture, audience, and purpose.
• Marketing and Creative Adaptation: Refining AI-generated marketing or creative content to preserve brand voice, tone, and cultural nuance.
• Legal and Technical Review: Reviewing AI-generated translations of legal, technical, or compliance documents for correctness and appropriate use of required terminology.
• Proofreading and Revision: Correcting grammar, spelling, readability, and stylistic issues in AI-generated texts, following the LQA rules set in the CAT-Tool provided by DAYFORCE.
• Terminology Development: Supporting the creation and validation of consistent technical or product terminology across AI-assisted outputs.
• Linguistic QA/Testing: Reviewing DAYFORCE product content in demo/sandbox environments to confirm that UI text, instructions, and in-product content align with the intended meaning in the target language.
• Quality Feedback Loop: Providing structured feedback on AI/MT/LLM translation quality to DAYFORCE for model improvement and workflow optimization.
• Project Coordination: Collaborating with DAYFORCE representatives, and where applicable, third parties, to support review and integration of AI-assisted translations within broader projects.

Rates

• Hourly rate: USD36/hr for training and onboarding
• Translation services:

• USD0.09 per word for document accuracy below 84%
• USD0.06 per word for document accuracy between 85% and 94%
• USD0.04 per word for document accuracy between 95% and 99%
• USD0.02 per word for document accuracy over 100% and repetitions
