About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team based in St. Brieux, SK on a full-time basis.

This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining financial records, and providing accounting services to Bourgault Industries and our affiliated companies including Free Form Plastic Products, Highline Manufacturing, Bourgault Australia, and other foreign entities.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and completing period-end, month-end, and year-end financial reporting and audits
  • Maintaining the general ledger and preparing financial statements
  • Researching and interpreting financial data and responding to accounting-related inquiries
  • Supporting the implementation of operating budgets and performance projections
  • Ensuring quality control and accuracy of financial entries and reports
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to finance policies and procedures
  • Generating accurate reports to management within established deadlines
  • Assisting with corporate insurance, standard costing, and related financial matters
  • Collaborating with internal departments and foreign affiliates to address financial needs

About You

To qualify, you will need a business degree with a major in accounting or finance (or an equivalent combination of an accounting diploma and experience). A minimum of 5 years of direct accounting experience will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • CPA designation
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with corporate insurance, standard costing, and financial reporting
  • Experience supporting audits and budgeting processes
