Bluetrain acts as an advanced digital marketing team for progressive clients from varying industries across North America. Recognizable clients we work with include organizations such as EPCOR, UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), Swimco, Alair Homes, and Strathcona County. We currently have an opportunity for a Social Media Specialist.
What You'll Do
As a Social Media Specialist at Bluetrain, you will be responsible for the creation and management of organic social media content to achieve our clients' goals, including increasing brand online presence, engagement, and brand awareness. You are a creative and innovative thinker who understands how to tell a story across various social media platforms.
- Manage Social Media Content Creation & Planning: You will lead the creation of engaging social media content, developing optimal captions and creating content like images and videos. This includes creating monthly/quarterly content plans, scheduling posts using tools
- Perform Engagement Tactics: You will be responsible for community management, responding to comments and messages, and strategically engaging on external partner accounts to grow our clients' presence.
- Optimize Social Media Content: You'll schedule content to meet client review deadlines, and optimize it for each platform and audience. This includes keeping in mind optimal character counts, hashtag usage, location tagging, alt text, and leveraging platform-specific features for the best possible performance.
- Increase and Measure Desired Metrics: You'll define, measure, and review KPIs regularly. You will create monthly reports for clients, including metrics, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with Others: You will work with a variety of stakeholders, including clients and internal team members, to review strategies, content, reports, and overall performance.
- Stay Up to Date: You are curious and stay on top of emerging social media trends and platforms to keep Bluetrain's expertise current.
What You Bring
You’re competent at creating various formats of content for social media and can analyze social media metrics and identify key insights and trends for your clients' organic campaigns. You work professionally and cooperatively with clients and coworkers to build a collaborative work environment. You understand the value of performance-driven digital marketing to help clients grow online.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a definite asset.
- Minimum of 1-2+ years of experience managing organic social media marketing accounts.
- Basic understanding of social media metrics and analytics.
- Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools.
- Exceptional written and visual storytelling skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and detail.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach to social media management.
