Data Analyst

Job Posting Title: Data AnalystJob Posting Start Date: 07/02/2025Job Posting End Date: 12/01/2025_Duration of contract:• 6 months with 6-month extension option• Hybrid__Working Hours/location: Edmonton AB T5J 4L6__• The expectation will be for the resource to work from the office 3 days a Week__• Work must be done within Alberta if working outside of the office_A Data Analyst is expected to provide expertise in data collection, data-driven storytelling, statistical analysis, data modelling and visualization, data policies and governance standards. The data analyst will also create plans and strategies to identify the various linkages between new and existing data forms, resulting in the integration of data models, development of data policies, and presentation of statistical analysis and data visualizations to help understand and improve service delivery.

Must Have:

• Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, and other information products for clients using BI/analytics software, including any or all: SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Investigator, MS Power BI, Tableau, Looker, R, Python. : 2 years
• Direct, hands-on experience performing business requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, and deployment related to data analysis, data analytics, data visualization, data science, data mining. 2 years
• Direct, hands-on experience performing business requirement analysis related to data manipulation/transformation, cleansing and wrangling.
• Experience analyzing research data and presenting findings in diverse ways
• Experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with government planning and budgeting processes and procedures.
