Instructor - Medical Aesthetics Course

We are seeking an experienced Medical Aesthetics Instructor to teach and mentor students in diploma and certificate programs focused on cosmetic laser, advanced skincare, and related aesthetic procedures. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a passion for teaching and student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical instruction in medical aesthetics (e.g., laser/IPL, skin rejuvenation, facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, basic skincare).
• Demonstrate safe and effective use of cosmetic laser and aesthetic equipment, including client consultation, treatment planning, and post-care.
• Prepare lesson plans, presentations, practical demonstrations, and assessment tools aligned with the approved curriculum and regulatory standards.
• Supervise hands-on practice on models/clients; ensure strict adherence to safety, infection control, and clinic policies.
• Evaluate student performance through quizzes, assignments, practical exams, and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and competency checklists.
• Support a professional, inclusive, and respectful classroom and clinic environment.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices and integrate them into teaching where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of recent, hands-on experience in medical aesthetics (e.g., medical spa, dermatology, laser clinic, cosmetic practice).
• Formal training/certification in medical aesthetics, cosmetic laser, or advanced skincare (diploma/certificate required; nursing or related healthcare background an asset).
• Previous teaching, training, or preceptorship experience preferred (college, private training, or in-clinic trainer).
• Strong knowledge of skin anatomy and physiology, indications/contraindications, laser physics fundamentals, and treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to explain complex concepts in simple, clear language.
• High standards of professionalism, ethics, and client care; committed to student success and employability.

Schedule and Employment Details

• Part-time or full-time availability (daytime, evening, or weekend classes depending on schedule).
• On-site teaching in a clinical/college setting.
