Candidate to the engineering profession (CEP) – Mining

Type of position: Regular Your future role on our team As a CEP you will be reporting to the Team Leader for Mining Engineering. In your role you will be assisting on support mandates for mining operations and on mining studies, both in Canada and internationally. You will be assigned to both open pit and underground mining projects and will be given the opportunity to collaborate with the engineers and geologists in offices across Canada. • Import block models
• Open pit optimization and cut-off grade analysis
• Open pit design
• Underground mining method selection
• Underground stope optimization and mine design
• Mine planning and production scheduling
• Equipment fleet calculations
• Capital and operating cost calculations
• Write and contribute to study reports
• Work in collaboration with our geology and drill and blast teams
• Liaise with clients regarding technical matters and be able to professionally present results

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering
• Experience working at a mining operation
• Minimum of 2 years of experience relevant to the position
• Member of the OIQ
• Availability to take on fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) assignments
• Proficiency with mine design software, Minesight and Deswik are preferred
• Bilingual (English and French)
