  • Lead and execute audit, review and compilation engagements, including financial statements and tax filings, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns, T1s, T3s, T4s, T5s, GST, and other compliance documents
  • Provide advisory support to clients, offering insights into financial planning and decision-making
  • Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, billing, and work-in-progress
  • Collaborate with team members to improve internal processes and service delivery
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain CPA designation and role expertise
  • Deliver attentive, personalized service to foster productive client relationships

What you bring to the table:

  • Strong desire and dedication to work and learn in a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
  • CPA designation or actively pursuing it
  • 3+ years of public practice experience with significant audit and assurance exposure
  • Experience with non-profit and private entities
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO and Canadian tax compliance (T1, T2, GST, T4, T5)
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Solid understanding of accounting and tax fundamentals
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and other relevant applications

Job type: Full-time, Permanent Your schedule: Monday to Friday Salary range: $75,000 - $105,000 per year + bonus eligibility Working conditions: The Senior Accountant will be required to work in an office environment, with the option of some remote flexibility. They will be required to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer for extended periods of time. They may also be required to travel occasionally for training or meetings.
