Roles Description

We’re looking for a Project Manager with experience in software or product development who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. This role isn’t about enforcing a rigid methodology—it’s about defining and running an agile process that works for AXL: structured enough to keep multiple teams on track, but flexible enough to adapt to rapid prototyping and iteration.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute an agile-inspired process tailored to AXL Labs’ software development environment.
• Manage parallel development projects to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
• Coordinate across design, engineering, and founder stakeholders.
• Implement project management software and dashboards (GitHub Projects, Jira, Asana) to track progress and increase transparency.
• Support R&D credit (SR&ED) documentation by ensuring proper tracking and reporting.
• Continuously refine workflows to balance speed, quality, and learning.
• Develop a repeatable project management framework that can be adopted by AXL’s portfolio companies as they scale.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of project management experience in software or product development.
• Strong understanding of agile principles, with the ability to adapt rather than rigidly apply them.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (GitHub Projects, Jira, Asana).
• Comfort working in a high-velocity, startup environment.
• Experience with SR&ED or similar innovation programs is a plus.
