Senior Paralegal – ForeclosuresSalary: $70,000 – $90,000

About the Role

Our client, one of Canada's top law firms, is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join their team and take the lead on foreclosure matters. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional who is confident managing files independently, liaising with clients, and supporting counsel in all aspects of foreclosure proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage foreclosure files from start to finish, including drafting, reviewing, and filing all necessary documents.
• Prepare pleadings, affidavits, applications, and related court materials.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, opposing counsel, and the courts to ensure timely and accurate handling of matters.
• Conduct title, registry, and other legal searches as required.
• Track key deadlines, court dates, and limitation periods to ensure compliance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior paralegals or legal assistants as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal that includes foreclosure experience.
• Strong knowledge of foreclosure procedures, court rules, and related legislation in British Columbia.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume files independently.
• Superior drafting, communication, and client service skills.
• Proficiency with legal software and MS Office; experience with electronic filing systems
• Paralegal Certificate or Diploma
