About Us AON3D is a venture capital-backed, Montréal-based additive manufacturing hardware, software, and materials company. Our solutions drive innovation for hundreds of businesses in 25+ countries worldwide, ranging from small businesses to multinational Fortune 500 corporations. Our mission is to create intelligent tools that automate and optimize the additive manufacturing process, enabling anyone to manufacture high performance parts, in any material, with the touch of a button. About The Role As a Production Engineer, you'll play a key role in building, scaling, and improving the manufacturing of AON3D's industrial 3D printers. You'll be responsible for developing, documenting, and optimizing assembly processes, ensuring consistent product quality and reliability, and collaborating with Design, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to support production ramp-up and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at the heart of operations; ideal for someone who enjoys solving practical problems, refining manufacturing systems, and driving efficiency. What You Will Do

  • Develop, document, and improve assembly and production processes.
  • Support daily production activities and troubleshoot technical issues on the line.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work with Design Engineering to review designs (DFM/DFA) and integrate changes into production.
  • Design and validate fixtures, tooling, and test setups.
  • Contribute to pilot builds and production ramp-ups.
  • Train and support assembly technicians to maintain quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across key metrics: yield, cycle time, scrap rate, safety.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role, preferably involving complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of assembly methods, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience with process documentation, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Practical, structured, and hands-on problem solver.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English and French (spoken & written).
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, PFMEA, or process validation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo experience a plus).
  • Hands-on 3D printing or industrial equipment experience.
