We are looking for a Specialist, Indigenous Engagement The Role We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Specialist to join our Indigenous Relations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional to contribute to meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities and support the development of inclusive, respectful, and impactful relationships. The ResponsibilitiesSupport Indigenous Engagement and Consultation

  • Assist in organizing and documenting meetings, workshops, and forums with Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • Support the coordination of consultation activities and help track community feedback and concerns.
  • Contribute to the preparation of briefing notes, meeting summaries, and internal reports.

Research and Policy Support

  • Conduct research on Indigenous rights, socio-economic development, and community priorities.
  • Assist in the development of materials related to the Crown’s Duty to Consult and Accommodate.
  • Support the analysis of potential project impacts and contribute to the development of mitigation or accommodation strategies.

Relationship Building

  • Help maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with Indigenous partners.
  • Support internal and external communications to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to shared objectives.

Project Coordination

  • Assist in tracking project timelines and deliverables related to Indigenous engagement.
  • Help monitor progress and support reporting on outcomes and next steps.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Business, Environmental Studies, or a related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in Indigenous relations, community engagement, policy, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous rights, governance, and protocols in Canada.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated interest in reconciliation, Indigenous engagement, and inclusive development.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
