Location: Coquitlam, BC, On-site 5 days per week, rotating between two local sites

As a HR Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting employees across all divisions, ensuring their experience is seamless, compliant, and engaging. You’ll collaborate with field and office teams, helping to strengthen operational efficiency while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll be the first point of contact for employees, guiding them on policies, benefits, HR programs, and workplace practices, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • You’ll support supervisors with employee relations matters including attendance, performance documentation, respectful workplace practices, and early issue resolution.
  • You’ll coordinate recruitment activities, from job postings and applicant screening to interview scheduling, reference checks, offers, and onboarding.
  • You’ll manage HRIS records, employment documentation, promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance readiness.
  • You’ll administer training and development programs, ensuring courses, certifications, and learning systems are up to date.
  • You’ll support performance review cycles, HR reporting, benefits administration, workplace investigations, and Health & Safety initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, ideally with exposure to construction or industrial sectors.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and professional communication skills.
  • Knowledge of BC Employment Standards, Human Rights Code, and occupational health & safety requirements.
  • Experience supporting full employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications; ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
