One of our well-known clients based in Winnipeg is looking to hire a contract Senior ETL Developer, to assist with an inflight Data and Analytics project focusing on Operational Data Store (ODS) and Data Warehouse.

About the Role

An enterprise organization is seeking a Senior Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Developer to support a large-scale Data & Analytics transformation initiative. This role focuses on modernizing and consolidating institutional data into a centralized Operational Data Store (ODS) and Data Warehouse environment, leveraging Azure-based technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design Azure Synapse components using established best practices and enterprise standards.
• Develop and maintain Azure Synapse artifacts, including:
• Pipelines
• SQL Pools
• Activities
• Datasets
• Linked Services
• Data Flows
• Provision, configure, and optimize Azure Synapse components to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Define and document all developed Azure Synapse components and configurations.
• Mentor project team members on Azure Synapse architecture, development standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to solution architecture reviews and provide design recommendations aligned with data strategy objectives.
• Investigate and resolve Azure Synapse-related issues.
• Provide input into Azure monitoring, logging, and reporting frameworks.
• Contribute expertise to the design and evolution of the enterprise Data Warehouse data model.
