Chemistry Masters – AI Data TrainerAbout The Role We're looking for chemistry experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. Your deep scientific knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex chemistry problems — from undergraduate fundamentals to cutting-edge graduate-level concepts. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of science and artificial intelligence, contributing to projects with real-world impact alongside world-leading AI research teams.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design challenging, high-quality chemistry problems to rigorously test AI reasoning and performance across domains such as chemical engineering, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and more
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic that serve as gold-standard references for AI training
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, depth of reasoning, and overall quality
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Masters-level chemistry topics
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model performance

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
  • Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and scientific rigor
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
  • No prior AI experience required — your chemistry expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
  • Background in research, tutoring, or academic writing

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top-tier research labs and institutions
  • Fully remote and flexible — set your own schedule and work from anywhere
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful scientific progress
  • Direct engagement with industry-leading large language models
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract renewals as new projects launch
