Agilus is recruiting for a Technical Sales Manager in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving growth and revenue across the oilsands mining sector while building new business across other mining sectors.
A typical day:
- Drive revenue growth within the core oilsands mining market through account expansion and strategic targeting. Identify & pursue new business opportunities.
- Offer tailored - high-performance material solutions for customers challenges.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting solutions, negotiating, and closing deals
- Maintenance of sales records & forecasts.
- Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with key clients, decision-makers, and influencers
- Be the point of contact for accounts, ensuring high-level customer service & satisfaction.
- Work closely with internal engineering, R&D, and operations teams to ensure technical feasibility and seamless delivery of solutions
Successful candidates will have:
- Experience in oil sands mining or adjacent sectors (e.g., general mining or oil & gas). Familiarity with wear-resistant materials used in slurry piping applications.
- 5 + years of sales experience in the mining, industrial, or wear materials and coatings sectors
- Bring a network of relevant contacts within these industries.
- Be familiar with oil sands operators and capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Materials science, Business, or a related field. A technical diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline will also be considered.
- Ability to leverage an established network of contacts within the mining industry
- Must be able to work within Canada and travel Internationally as required. (25% travel domestic & international)
