Speech Language Pathologist
Job Description
Posted on: March 10, 2026
Join Our Mission to Make a Difference at ABC Head Start Society!
At ABC Head Start Society, we’re on a mission to raise families out of poverty and help children harness their superpowers, conquer hardships, and live their best lives. We envision a world where every child has equal access to a full and successful life, and we’re looking for passionate, caring, and driven individuals to join us on this journey.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll play a vital role in fostering communication success for students through a consultative approach. Rather than providing direct one-to-one therapy, you will work within a consultative model—collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design strategies, supports, and ‑communication rich‑ environments that help all children thrive. You will also provide clinical supervision to Speech Language‑ Assistants (SLAs), who play a key role in implementing the strategies and programming you design. Through your guidance, SLAs will carry out targeted activities, model techniques, and support classroom teams, ensuring interventions are delivered consistently and with integrity.
You will also conduct comprehensive assessments for new students applying to the program to determine eligibility and inform individualized support plans. This position includes maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to team-based problem-solving to promote student success.
We value continuous learning and offer opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and leadership within a supportive team environment. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact through innovative, consultative practices, we’d love to hear from you!
