The Opportunity The purpose and scope of the Senior Account Manager – TAVI is to promote and support Abbott Structural Heart products, with a focus on Navitor Vision™, through the education of current and potential customers, as well as procedural coverage within a defined territory (Vancouver, British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan). Additional support may be required outside the defined territory as business needs arise. The Account Manager identifies opportunities and challenges within existing and prospective accounts while achieving business objectives and driving revenue growth. The role requires strong clinical competency, a patient-centric approach, and the maintenance of high standards for clinical outcomes. This position is field based in the BC area for the Structural Heart Division. What You’ll Do
- Meet or exceed sales objectives of company products and / or services to assigned accounts within a given territory;
- Make and develop contacts with existing and potential new customers and be actively involved during procedures;
- Analyze existing and anticipated customer requirements and promote the consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements;
- Quote prices and delivery dates of company products to customers in accordance with company guidelines and in consultation with the Country Manager;
- Conduct sales presentations with customers;
- Keep customers informed of new products and other information of interest;
- Investigate new applications or improvements to products;
- Monitor consignment inventory and expiry dates of products within their sales territory;
- Participate in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans, encompassing therapy awareness programs to grow the business;
- Provide market intelligence to sales management and participate in the development of sales forecasts and strategies;
- Participate in the preparation of hospital product tenders (RFPs) to aid in the acquisition of increased business;
- Maintain technical proficiency and consult with prospective customers regarding use of company products and services;
- Train customers on our products as per the instructions for use (IFUs) of each device;
- Develop and manage administrative functions within the territory including general organization such as time management, weekly call activities, expense reports, monthly new business, travel itineraries, territory coverage in general, trunk stock and consignment inventory, follow-ups, planning and special request follow-through;
- Operate the CRM (Salesforce customer relationship management) system and ensure information is available with the company on a timely and accurate manner – this includes :
- Entering and maintaining contact details, include tasks, events and managing appointments
- Record customer interactions giving the company the ability to track performance and productivity based on information logged within the system
- Keep accurate market share information and update it monthly
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports;
- Works cross-divisionally to develop a “OneAbbott” approach to key customers;
- Acts as an internal advocate for the customer; cultivates Abbott internal relationships and leverages to drive business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required preferably in science or business.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- 1-3 years of medical sales experience.
- Fully bilingual in English ( written and spoken).
- Requires 50% of travel within Canada.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Experience with MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardiac Anatomy knowledge
- Ability to work with 2D and 3D visualization modalities. Some experience in Ultrasound/ Echocardiography, CT (Computerized Tomography) and/or fluoroscopy imaging modalities strongly preferred;
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $75,000.00 to $111,100.00 CAD. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
